SEO Scams You Need To Watch Out For

The truth is that most businesses need SEO services to promote their websites. Without SEO, there is a good chance that your website won’t be seen by enough people which could spell disaster for your business. While most SEO services are credible and do what they say, other services are way too happy to take your money and never deliver on their promises. The world of SEO is tricky. Read on to learn about some of the SEO scams you need to keep an eye out for.

In many cases, you can avoid scams by carefully researching any company you are thinking about doing business with. If you can’t find any reviews about them or can’t get in contact with any of their past customers, move on to another company. You don’t want to pay for services you might not receive.

If a company offers guaranteed #1 Google rankings, watch out. Even though this claim sounds amazing, it isn’t possible to guarantee a top ranking. This lie could cost you big time. If the company you are interested in using throws out this line, don’t use them.

Another piece of bait scammers like to throw out is that they have an in with Google that gives them a priority. Run the other way if you hear this. It is an outright lie. The rep might tell you that they can get you top ranking in 48 hours. This too is a lie.

Some scammers try to get you with the price. If the company offers a free trial, be very wary because SEO takes a lot of work and no one is truly going to work for days for free. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Be wary of companies that offer prices that are too good to be true as well, because they probably are.

One final scam that is used to draw you in is the super secret scam. The company will claim that it has secret strategies that will get you the top ranking. These so-called secret strategies are likely to get your site banned, so watch out!

Don’t get burned by SEO scammers. Only work with reputable companies that have shown proven results. You don’t want to risk having your site banned or data were stolen. SEO scammers are all too willing to take your money and run.
